Bored at the airport... Had to check out at 10am and our flight isn't until 5 so yeah... It's freaking boring. Eager to get home and work on more stuff this week

Eat a lot of delicious spicy food.
Wash it down with cranberry juice.
Poop until 5.
Problem solved.

KungFuSpaceBarbarian responds:

That would be interesting... The toilets aren't exactly the cleanest and I feel like my ass would be on fire and uncomfortable once I did get on the plane.. we landed in Detroit now and are waiting for the connecting flight to Philly

Perhaps you can help me. You know everything about sounds, animation, and how to kill a man with a four-sided die. If I have a microphone, a stand, a cord connecting that microphone to this Audiobox USB... whatever that is... then why does plugging that in only cause my internet to go silent, while my iTunes is still able to play music? How do I record something with all of this? Do I need a DAW or some other program? I just want to test out verbalizing one of my blog entries.

KungFuSpaceBarbarian responds:

Hmm... So your mic is connected to the PC via USB? I would check Connected Devices in Control Panel to make sure the mic is recognized by the computer. If it came with any disks or anything you may need to install a driver for it to be recognized. But once it is you should be able to open any audio recording program and choose that device to record to. If you can't find it, check Google with the mic model number and search for connectivity issues with that device

No installation CDs came with the products, but the microphone did come with its own leather pouch. Kinda shnazzy.

KungFuSpaceBarbarian responds:

Very nice. Does your PC recognize it when it's plugged in?

It didn't. I found an installer on the site itself, so I'll try that.

A lot of things to download, and registering my product unlocked five other things I didn't know came with the device. Sigh, I learn better through hands-on assistance. I rarely fair well with an instruction manual and a Youtube video. When it reads "Create a new song", I suppose that also means just talking into the thing. I have no actual desire to fool around with pre-made loops and instruments... well, not right now, and if I ever made music, I would very likely never touch the loops. Hearing those in a song tends to ruin its overall quality quite a bit, like relying heavily upon tweens, close-ups, and long periods of standing around and chatting in an animation. Guess I'll let it all download proper, then worry about it all later.

KungFuSpaceBarbarian responds:

Let me know how it goes!
